Alls Quiet on the UPS front?
Well we over a year into the UPS furlough. Contract Negotiations open in just over two weeks. One furlough has joined the FQS ranks (unbelievable!). I hear 3 furloughed and even 1 non furloughed pilot has left for FedEx (way to go!!). FedEx has hired some SUPER LOYAL pilots! A few others have left for other jobs overseas (who knows if they will be back).
What the heck is going on?
It seems very quiet!!

There is nothing going on here. FedEx is kicking our ass in every market, the whole airline is falling apart and guys are bailing out of this sinkin ship. We have another powrless prez and vice prez with the world of promise, Atlanta as usual don't give a s..t and turning a blind eye to all the miss services by manipulating and lying to the customers. Guys are getting jaed and captains are flying in the right seat to fill the gap and pretty much the schedualing are on thier ass. We offered the company 118mill but they went ahead and fuloughed 109 pilots so they can save 18mill, that's UPS math for you. Folloiwng the unsuccesful incomplete furlough our two brightest upper managment direcly responsible for thier ill miscalculated furlough ie vp of flight ops and the prez of the airline were suddenly decided to call it quits and spend more time with thier family, ya sure. Other than what I just explained things are looking pretty good for UPS.

Sure, FQS= Flight Qualified Supervisor= Non union pilot that flies our revenue=Not on seniority list= flies our airplanes when we strike=Junior pilots that didn't want to wait their turn to sit in the left seat= 200K avg pilot that takes care of queep in the office=pilot that gives line guys check rides
Pretty much covers it, I am sure I missed a few.
