ALPA I
FPA
ALPA II
Countless hours volunteered and worked for them all through the good and the bad. Yes, I got some pay loss too. However, on a one for one basis. Every day dropped for union duty, you worked or you made it up with AFB. That used to be the basic policy, within reason and only fair to the membership paying the bills.
I have seen many an administration come and go. The good ones and the bad ones. I've seen leaders who had vision and I have also seen leaders content in feathering their own beds at membership expense. The present leadership appears to be the latter.

How do you know the Company negotiator (who obviously is a member with voting rights?) voted for? Was it an open voice or hand vote? Thanks for your time bago.

Didn't Tony H. come on this board and accuse people of being cronies for SS and the current administration. Didn't he accuse them of using false names and spreading false rumors at the direction of the current administration. It seems that Tony may have found his own crony or used an old name from May of 2010. Why not tell us who you support and why they are so good instead of taking pot shots at the other guys.

How about some facts or actual substance rather than random rumor mill stuff? Maybe that would further your credibility on the state of collusion and financial tom fuller y that appears rampant under the current MEC. Lastly, did you contact ALPA and make an official inquiry on this supposed pay loss abuse?

Well, with all due respect, how about you just give me your voting password as a proxy and I will go vote for you too. Seriously... Why don't you make some phone calls and confirm it yourself? Check a calendar if it hasn't been blocked yet.
I don't need to further my credibility on anything. If you are interested enough to find out, you will investigate on your own and my credibility will be intact. For instance, go to the office and look at the policy manual for yourself. Make a phone call or two to the candidates. Demand some answers from your Block Rep. or leadership if you can find them. That's what keeps the system honest and operating efficiently; we the members holding our leaders to account. Not just during election time, but all the time. The FOC used to help do that. Or...
Just be a sheep.
Sorry for the sermon... but people wake up!
I wasn't there but this is what I am told from people who were:
As far as the interim Block 1 vote, it was in public in front of witnesses. The interim Block 1 rep. was basically elected by hand or voice vote-I don't know which; with all votes coming from either SIG members on the company dime or union workers on the FPL membership dime. So you mean to tell me that there wasn't even one of those pilots who would vote for the challenger? Of course, would you vote for someone who is going to rock your world? A comfy little world at that?
The company guy does have voting rights, that's fine. I am not for excluding people from the process, even if I don't agree with them. However, if I were in his position-well, first of all, I would never be in his position because I would never negotiate against this pilot group. However, that being said, if I were in his position, I would voluntarily abstain from exercising my rights. Personally, I think it's a conflict of interest. Practically speaking if done in public and in this instance at least, I hope it's the Judas kiss.

<What if the company guy had voted the other way?>
Depending on what happens this time-in the future, it might be a stealthy move to poison the candidate that you secretly don't like.

Look, granted it was short notice. I don't care what the number of hours are nearly as much as I would like to know how it is going to be accounted for in a fair manner for the membership.
Is this guy going to bid lines in the future that conflict in such a large amount and if so, who is going to hold him accountable?
