Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner.

That is exactly right, IMHO, Johnny...

The management team at Atlas is very talented. I would be surprised if they do not have every single aircraft in their current and future fleet contracted with customers already.

The only aircraft placement risk that I could see Atlas having would be their exposure to customer contract renewals.
+2 JohnnyK.

... and that Wall Street idiot - probably makes 400k coming up with bull hockey like that. Like consultants, he doesn't even have to be right to get paid.

I saw the stock is down 9% so far today. I couldn't find any news other than some analysts downgrading it from a buy to a neutral rating. Is there anything else going on there today?

From what I understand, the overall demand for air freight is down from the robust recovery ahead of the overall economy in 2010. So that may be a bit of the reason the stock has fallen recently. I would also guess that Cargolux's decision to refuse delivery of the 747-8 because of "performance issues" also is causing a decline in the Atlas stock. Finally, investors overall are very skittish and are worried about Europe and trading a lot on emotion rather than fundamentals.

I think Atlas stock is a bargain right now. With that said, if investors look at the P.E. ratios, most U.S. stocks are a bargain right now.

$47.00 is too much to pay for any airline stock in this economy.
