Fed Ex Prospects in a Couple of Years
Fellas,
Thinking of making the switch in a couple of years. Fed Ex is my first choice, but not too picky. I have 1600ish single seat hours in the AF and currently on active duty. Looking for a late 2013, early 2014 jump. How's the future look Gents? |
Also, once your ratings are squared away, can you apply early (like a year out or so) with an availability date or do you need to already be out and available to apply? Thanks.

FedEx stock just hit a 2 year low today on lowered global outlook and weaker earnings.

Mr. Evil, outlook is mixed (kinda sounds like a Magic 8-Ball response). Plenty of retirements coming up. Aircraft additions are planned.
On the other hand, economic outlook isn't so hot. FedEx is a pretty savvy company when it comes to taking advantage of market conditions. Just don't know what those conditions will be in two months much less two years. Apply when you have the requirements met. The worst that can happen in that case is that you're offered a position but can't accept until you're off active duty. Good luck. |
