Default FedEx Schedules - Need Input From FDX Pilots

Many passenger airlines offer schedules between 1 to 4 day trips.

What are the trip lengths like at FedEx? More specifically how many days away from home on most trips?

What is the longest trips in number of days away from home and what are the shortest trips in days away from home?

What percentage of trips are during the day versus at night?

Thanks!

Hit "adler" on advanced search and read his posts. He has some very detailed and solid examples of various trips and has commented on same in the past.

USAF Weapons School answer would be "...it depends..."

My short answer is "...a bit of everything..."

Hit search and you'll see what we mean. Cheers...

1 to 15, take your pick.
Average/median 2 to 3.
Domestic, 3/5 night.
Something for everyone.
Come on in, the water is warm.

I'd prefer 1-3 day trips. Is that likely for a new hire?

Very,
But more likely is a company that has never furloughed, or had a concessionary contract.
What are you really after?

So, are you hired, or just hoping?

Trying to decide if this would be the right course for me. I know it is a great company but I'm trying to make sure this is right for my family. I'm almost at the 1000 PIC turbine point, so not ready yet.

That sounds great and I hope to join the ranks. Thanks for the info. Are new hires home 20-22 days a month too?

Must ask the magic 8 ball. It Depends on the Jet and the month. No Christmas at home is a safe bet.
