If you are claiming a spouse that you are not married to, or a dependent that does not meet the requirements, then you may be the witch that they are hunting. Otherwise, I would not sweat it.

Well, let's hope our 6% pay raise covers the cost of obtaining all the required documentation!

"inadvertently maintain coverage" "no disciplinary actions like payback" required. The ERISA law from 1974 requires it I guess only at hire date and this year during the "year of compliance"
The new health care law allows dependents under 26 to stay under your plan. Hope all pertinent info is included in this money saving audit. Marriage certificate??? Do you have to turn that in when you get a divorce???

I wonder if this is for all fedex express employees or if this is just for the pilots.

Lots of companies verify this sort of stuff. But if someone is paranoid, maybe they have a reason to be?

After numerous jobs including this one I have never brought in birth certificates or a marriage license when reverifying health insurance. But now we must show our papers.... Along with the obligatory "what are you worried about if your not guilty" When do you start feeling the company thinks we are all trying to get something over on them?
