Rumor is a new hire ANC FO--still on probation--didn't approve of his Capt's 02 act while they were flying. Rather than talk it over, or bounce it off someone else, call the union, Pro Standards, wife, bartender, dog, etc...he did something else.
Went straight to the Feds and reported him.
Regardless of what occurred, we're not talking golf scores here, this is someone's career. With apologies and a nod to Jack N in "The Departed", some of us would like to know who this fine gentleman and probie is before we buy him 2 weeks worth of meals and drinks on some future trip.
Otherwise, that's a fine group of people. Hate to see them be negatively affected by the actions of one.

Wow, very hard to believe.
At a previous airline I flew for, there was a flight attendant doing that to pilots she didn't like. She would come up to the cockpit while one of the pilots went back to the head, and would get involved in conversation. Then, if she didn't like said pilot, she would contact the FAA safety hotline and tell them that the pilot did not have their O2 mask on in cruise flight. Eventually, we were able to figure out who she was. Unfortunately, not before one of our captains had his certificate suspended for 60 days without pay with a violation on his record.
In regards to the ANC captain in question, hopefully nothing comes of this. But if it does, the FAA will have to state the date and flight number of occurrence, in which case the captain will know exactly who the FO was.
