Default Headsets on the 74

Could some of you give me info on headsets that would work good in a 74. Im training on it now and am coming out of the ERJ where youd have to wear the big headclamp type of headsets(which I doubt will work well)......the cheaper the better too. Thanks

Default Ear mold

There is a very inexpensive telex, (can't remember the mod #) that fits in the ear. Buy that from Marv Golden and then get a mold of your right ear made at a local hearing aid place. I've had mine for 10+ years and it works great in the Whale.

I just wear the Telex with the foam ear pads ( about $60 from Sporty's) Usually I'll put in foam ear plugs in as we're climbing-some a/c have a lot of wind noise.

Dont waste your money, use what ever you have because @ TOC (for you non-pilot types thats "Top Of Climb") you take them off, sit and eat for 9 hours. We dont use the intercomm so you'll have to pull your left ear piece back so you can hear your CA mumble. I came from the CRJ as well and found there to be much less noise on the flight deck. Good luck and enjoy!!
