Default Weekend layover or double deadhead?

First of all this is a FedEx question.

Who decides weekend layover versus double deadhead? The SIG or the company?

Basically, company builds trips, SIG builds lines.

Did you try reading the Fing contract?

Why? You posted the link faster than I could possibly read it myself

So my real question is why? My regular trip was switched from a ddh to a weekend layover starting in June. Why the change?

How does the Delta accepted fare look? I know that GSP is up to 550 one way.

Good point. It is a 2 leg dh. Still, 18.5 credit hours pays for a pretty expensive dh ticket.

With the large number of commuters it seems like more ddh's and fewer weekend layovers is a win/win scenario. Worst case for the company is that a pilot actually takes the scheduled dh.

I heard this many years ago from a SIG guy. Sometimes the company switches because they need to build lines to a certain CH amount. By switching from DDH to w/e layover and vice versa a line can change CHs by an hour or two. Also, during the winter there are more w/e layovers to smaller cities because the company doesn't trust the dh service getting in there because of wx.
