Emirates first class?
I have a dh from cdg -pvg and would like to experience emirates first class. I called corp travel and they said they will only book business. I have enough bank for a first class fare, I thought we were entitled to first class if certain conditions are met, which I believe they are on this flight. Thanks for any help with this.

If you don't have the time, you can go to Emirates web site and book it FC for the same fare that Corp travel would get you. Just use the CO CC and keep your boarding pass......easy as pie.

Thanks... I will try again... Anyone know if it's a fully refundable fare if booked directly on emirates... Seems like it should be but just wanna be sure before I take that route. Maybe I will have luck with the next corp travel rep, the last one I spoke with was in no way going to book first class. She said they could only book business and that was that.

Section 8. c. Higher Class of Service
i. If a higher class of service is authorized on a deadhead with less than 10 scheduled block hours, such service shall be booked in Business or First Class at the Company's option, subject to availability on the scheduled flight. ‡
ii. If a deadhead has 10 or more scheduled block hours, the travel shall be booked in the following order based upon availability on the scheduled flight:
(a) First Class (discounted);
(b) Business Class (full fare or discounted);
(c) First Class (full fare).
Had this bite me on a HKG-FRA Cathay flight. Cathay doesn't give us discounted first class on all routes, hence it's booked in Business. So you have to specifically ask Global if it is an Emirates discounted first vs. full fare business.

Or you can Fly for Brown Turd and Ride all over the World with crap catering for the rest of your days. Nice cold Md or 76 for 11 hours is awesome! It's the worst, trust me. But most guys and gals here don't give a hoot. They have become "trained" .

I was handed a phone by our ground ops guy in Melbourne (Australia, not Florida!!) and after a short conversation with sCrew Scheduling and a not-so-happy travel coordinator...rode EK First Class from MEL to DXB.
OMG, amazing is the only word for it...and the two reasons I got to experience the DH in First Class (since we are entitled to Business Class in most cases) was:
1. Business Class was full, and
2. I was "the only guy on the planet" that could operate the next sector ex DXB.
Good luck...hope it works out for you. BTW, the usual CDG to DXB is the A380.
