Default FDX Open Time

So, it's averaging 10 hours today to get any action on open time requests. Four or five other pilots I know have been waiting 10 hours too. Crazy and quite frankly...unacceptable.

Are the scheduler's subject to DOT screening?

Alcohol does seem to be involved.

In my nearly 7 years I have never waited for more than 1.5 hours. Well, maybe 1.8 hours once. 10 hours? Now one request has been in 14 hours. I called and asked and they said they were "swamped". She was nice so I asked her if they could call in the reserves or draft someone.

I may have been off base with the drinking comment.

Upon further reflection, scheduling might hire former special olympians. My apologies for the insensitivity.

Every month about this time I think about drinking heavily, does that count?

Legitimate question (this time) - Do schedulers get in trouble if they process too many trades during their shift? I'm starting to think their lethargy is all part of the plan to push PBS.

This strong culture PC says we need - Is that so we can stand on our head in you know what longer?

Or maybe it's something as simple as the scheduling dept is being hit by the crud going around Memphis, and many schedulers are home in bed eating chicken soup, like the one I know, as opposed to being "drunken retards bent on making your life a living hell."
