It sucks, but all of you would do the same in this situation. What else can we do? We need to keep our records clean for a better job.

A union take action? please stop me from laughing.

The local McMinnville paper did a piece on Evergreen and pretty much painted a dismal picture for the future and exposed a lot of credit problems not to mention the late pay issue oh and the power at all EIA buildings being turned off 2 weeks ago, Tim Wahlberg a board member was interviewed and said "we care for our employees".

With the trip schedule for the month of January being almost non existent I don't see how they will be able to hold much of the staff.

Where they can treat you the same when push comes to shove at the new job?

One positive thing I learned was that it IS possible to make a positive difference where I work and leave the place better off than I found it. That means doing things that might put some pressure on management and unconventional ways to get what is fair or owed, but this has to be done. Usually you'll see two types of people in these situations: complainers, sometimes so vocal they get fired and that didn't have any effect, and doers, that actually force a change through some action. There are options, sometimes unique ones, sit down and brainstorm. As long as it's just complaining, to the union, to the company, there is no incentive to do anything. Think outside of the "box" if you can't get together and hire a lawyer. How could you advertise this issue? Who would care? Who stands to lose if it comes out? Who is the business in "cozy" with? How does this affect safety? Who knows about it? Then figure out some actions to take. Yes, it is possible you could have adverse action against you, but if you don't stand up for yourself in some way, no one will.

So what does Evergreen have left? Word is that they are planning on taking the SUU run back from WO in May, but what else are they doing right now? I know 493 was doing AMC runs not too long ago.

With just a third of the fleet operating from a year ago, and the typical Christmas furlough, how many poor blokes will be on the street come January?

SUU run again by May? Will EA even be around by then?

Probably just Christmas flying... both UPS and FEDEX hire contractors during the peak week before christmas. This year Kalitta had 5 or 6 planes contracted to UPS for 6 days.

I don't want to hear any boo hooing when it is finally coming back to bite them in the arse.

management is just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. I saw this 2 years ago and voted with my feet. Wish i didn't have to and would have loved to stay there for my career, but as it is I had to leave.

If you think where I am is 5 star boy do I have some real estate for you!!!!
My point is... I HAVE TWO KIDS a House and a lot of other stuff to pay for. The Pilot pay is not the only delayed pay here. We the people that work here are all in the same boat. I was being my normal NYC born and raised Smart ASS when I said you were at a 5 Star airline.. Some stuff going on that could keep us going till the end of 2013. That allows me to keep my kids in school. Good luck to all on this site and Happy New Year.

I have been gone for a while, so I am out of the know. I hear Evergreen is down to 2 B747-400 and 20-30 pilots. Is Evergreen going to survive?

Lots of pilots waiting to return............
