And knowing that it takes 4 months to do a conversion doesn't seem like the next 72 is going to be parked anytime soon. Everyone goes to ATI training in the next month, their is a 72 scheduled for C check and come to think of it I think they are writing the training schedules for the 72 crews for jan and feb. |

As difficult as it is to be furloughed, at least I always knew that decisions were made based on what is considered to be a fair process, the seniority system. While it sucks to be the junior person, I knew it was a union job when I accepted it. That's just the way the system works. I also have the possibility to enjoy the benefits of seniority some day. What concerns me is the possibility that the process is being manipulated by management. I don't think the managers have any personal grudge against me any more than I think they have a preference for Capital guys. They see that a Capital guy with a date of hire similar to mine will be at year 1, 2 or 3 on the pay scale and I am at year 12 on the pay scale. That's a difference of at least $19,000 per year. Extend that to the approximately 50 furloughed ATI guys and the savings is just under $1 million per year. So ATSG is manipulating the system to keep the less expensive Capital guys while excluding the ABX/ATI guys. The problem is that it isn't fair. |

Kinda Funny
Don't take this the wrong way and all but I just find it amusing that every ATSG airline post in APC ends up boiling down to ABX vs. ATI vs. CCI. Everyone has strong points but ATSG, if they do troll, must just sit back and laugh. Seems like its going to be one family sooner rather than later and I would assume everyone would want to try to be a happy and not play into ATSG's divide and concur theory :cool:

Is it fair to sit in the right seat of an ATI bird and make an extra check, more money than somebody else that's true ATI not a transplant from ABX. I'm sure in your world that's ok. I'm sure in a real ATI pilots world that's not fair. But I'm sure your not complaining about that.
