I predict LIDO will be removed from the EFB and paper jepps put in the backup pubs bags. Jepp installation in the EFB will be goobered up by our crack IT department (same ones who came up with changing the login the day bids open last month). We'll be stuck with paper jepps for 3-6 months using the EFB as a clipboard.

Had one already not match. The flight plan and the FMS matched, but no Lido chart to back it up. It was on a STAR to EWR. Fortunately caught it by preloading the star in the EFB. Had to call GOCC and get another release with a new arrival. Got lucky that day. I would have quickly made a new friend with a controller trying to get that changed enroute!

Rumor has it that Fedex has already made a large IPad purchase a few months ago. I know this from the Jepp side not the Fedex side. Same source told me Fedex was switching to Jepps...first dispatch, then simulators, then FMS, and then EFB hardware. From my observations it has happened in that order...which makes the IPad part highly likely also. Also flew with a few Flex guys who "secretly" told the same story several months ago.
