Default Happy New Year Spaulding!

Latest communication from PC is setting the bar low for the New Year, and trying to set our expectations even lower...kind of like Judge Smails in Caddy Shack to Spaulding, "You'll get nothing and like it".

But they "expect" it to get better, but that is always subject to review...(and downgrade).

Rumors in schoolhouse abound about 4.a.2.b is back in March.

But we are still hiring...and about to enter negotiations on the real money issues in the contract.

Funny how this is all coming together...(and they are working on that 1.6 Billion increase for the shareholders through cost cutting) Right out of "Confessions of a Union Buster".

No concessions, no changes in retirement, no PBS, no changes in vacation. No 4.a.2.b.

I wonder which one is on the table that we will need to give away to "help share the pain"???

Hopefully we will see something from the association directly addressing this and stating our expectations and positions.

Happy Holidays and Fly Safe!

I don't think they can continue to hire in 4A2b. Actions, not rhetoric, reveal their true intentions.

I do think your right. I just find their timing interesting, which as always, seems to have an underlying agenda...

IMHO.

Well we are in contract negoiations so....? Does this mean we are an airline or express compny this time?

Why is the size of our pie stay the same or get smaller while executive bonuses seem to have no boundries???

No 4a2b while hiring??? They probably wish that could be changed?

Sounds like we will be parking more than just the 727's after peak??

I seem to remember bad messages being held back till after peak. But FCIF's must be costly to produce. They combined positive December and downbeat January messages this year.

I think we are going to hire right up to when we start furloughing. That tactic has worked at the passenger carriers for years.

I'm pretty sure.......but don't quote me......

This article is referring to employees other than collectively-bargained employees (so, buyouts won't/don't include pilots) - the company would have to negotiate any buyouts for us that are not currently provided for in our CBA
