EIA Parks The Classics For Good
Evergreen has began the process of saying goodbye to the 200 classics.
N471EV, N482, and N486EV are being ferried to KPSM in New Hampshire this weekend for to be put to rest for the final time.
This will now make EIA an all 400 fleet, that is all three of them. The financial picture is still bleak for the company.
Here are links if you want to say farewell.

N485EV Is parked at JFK and was recently being striped of parts for the classic fleet,it is not flyable. Just wonder how long before JFK Port authority will asked it be removed?

A Toast to EIA and the Classics
Evergreen and the Classics was/were my first airline and airliner. I was only there six months, but I know my transition at United would have been a lot tougher had I not started at EIA.
I have fond memories of the people I worked with there, and cutting my teeth on the -100 and -200. I learned a lot from the people and the plane. I always thought the company treated me fairly, and in many ways, my schedule was better at EIA than as a new guy at UAL. (Well, it was nearly 15 years ago).
Best wishes for the New Year. I hope for the best for all.
