I used to fly passengers around in the tiny little 737 for one of the legacy airlines. I quit that lousy job and came to fly cargo which is a much better gig. Big jets, no more towing around grumpy pax and *****y flight attendants.

Can't imagine flying something as small as a 737 again. I hate to even jumpseat on it, but whatever, a ride is a ride. Just glad I don't have to fly it. I feel sorry for you guys flying that little piece of crap. Hopefully you can get on with one of the freight companies soon. Good luck!

Well, for frt ops it would actually be 4 big heads in there. You're obviously not familiar with the anatomy of frt pilots.

Even simulator guys. As an example, here's Simnerds' boast from the 777 thread:

I think this thread should be nominated for thread of the year. This was a great read. I look forward to more posts from you guys. It is always entertaining. The cargo forum makes it seem like you guys like to have fun. On he regional forum we only Bi**h about how our company is better that why we getting your flying. There will be a bunch of CRJ 200's cargo operators could get really cheap. I am sure you could fit 30-40 5 lbs boxes in there. They have to be toward the back nothing in the first 20 feet of the plane or you will be out of CG. It will not climb fast or do much of what you want but hey they will be cheap.

Good point Busboy.

That's not the half of it from Simnerd...on our internal forum he was strutting about how his wife proposed to him, with a dowry of sorts no less. It was...touching. He really was quite the catch, really...just ask him. But bring a barf bag.

I would imagine they would be fine freighters, and perhaps UPS or FDX would take a look. Whether or not they will buy them is anyone's guess.

I have heard 'rumors' that we have looked at 737 again, but they are just rumors!
I took a look at the 737-MAX and it appears to just a tad bit longer that the 738's and 9's. Really the only difference between the MAX & the 8's/9's is the type of engines that the MAX will be outfitted with. In addition, I guess with the number of feeders that both UPSCO & FedEx own and/or contract with, they're able to handle the "short" to "medium" range distances. Adding to the fleet mix wouldn't be a wise move right now.

Thanks for all the input guys.
