The disputed pairing process is a mockery as far as I am concerned .......... When you have a bunch here like we do, and they want to fly well over 100 CH hour months with no regard for anything except their blowfish egos and bragging about their paychecks, then you have what i call a total failure of a group to align itself with anything that affects all concerned ............... You high CH flyers keep enjoying your paychecks, I will enjoy doing my part and take my days off to keep my Life in balance with what is really important

Another ANC DP farmed out to MEM. ANC MD-11 pairing 59/18Apr (only F/O) has become MEM 2247/16Apr. Sure would be nice if they'd just fix them in the first place instead of just sprucing them up with DHs.

From what I've been told by local rep and contract enforcement, once it has a new number (even if it stays in the original domicile), it's no longer considered a DP and doesn't count as a flown DP.

So, if someone else is stupid enough to pick them up and fly them once they're not DPs, I guess it's no skin off my back. In this case, however, it looks like it wasn't voluntary as the MEM pilot got it on a custom line after he finished training. Nothing like a 19 day trip after IOE - welcome to the MD-11.

They did do this for One Day shortly after the 2006 contract was signed. I think there was something in the tech notes fine print that said they had to show they 'could' do it. It showed "DP" in the comments section on the OpenTime page. Well they 'proved' they 'could' and it's never been seen since .

Greedy 75 Captains

Wow, 2 of the 3 disputed 75 Apr pairings showing up in fo open time are filled by some senior Captains.

One guy is a calendar blocker and the other is an hour glutton, he picked up 2 dp trips and has a schedule with 150 CHs, yes, 150 hours!

......we work with some great people

Ummm ... I'm raising the BS flag on this one. How can a 'senior Captain' pick up an f/o trip (on any jet)? Can I do that? I haven't been qualified in that seat in many years. Does that matter?

Mark,

I think what he means is that the trip is still in open time for the FO seat.........and when you click on the trip it shows who the Captain is...and it is a DP......

I think......:):)

Mark, An LCA or Flex....or PCA or Tech pilots. All dual seat qualified. Some where qualified in 2 A/C.
Happened all the time on the MEM MD during the end of the 2004-06 Negotiations. A few of the the School house/or other Dual seat qualified Pilots got very rich while many of us enjoyed our contractual minimum days off.
