[QUOTE=navigatro;1415981]Heard a rumor that all furloughed pilots will be back by this fall.
This would be tough, since the soonest one of our guys could be realistically back on line would be late September or early October. (Unless of course you would waive the contract to speed things up.)
I don't think they could have everyone on line this year if they wanted to.
Wait.........everyone was supposed to be back this spring after our big Postal Service announcement.

I really don't see any catalyst to bring back our 40-something furloughees.
1. Lifting of the open time ban keeps reserve flying at a manageable point for the company.
2. People flying faster than planned (LIDO) flight plan. This establishes shorter historical block times allowing the company to shorten scheduled legs and in some cases do away with Relief Pilots and squeeze more flying into our schedules.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see an Autumn recall....a sale at Pennys maybe, but not a recall.

As to number 2, I never see this. Maybe its my A/C, but we relish the IRO position.

Were any of you guys with Orion back in 1985, prior to UPS hiring their own pilots?
If so, please shoot me a private message, I'm trying to track down my sim partner and some other buds from my Orion days. Thanks in advance. TB

The economy is ROARING back, and all is well in the world. Even if it was, The Davis Doctrine is going according to plan.
