From the ABX corner:
1. still pretty good. I like the fact we've got a growing 767 charter business, so we're not entirely at the mercy of DHL's whims. We've still got a bunch more 767s coming, and both DHL and the charter customers want em. Actively pursuing more 767 purchases, too, probably just a matter of time before something is announced.
2. mostly 7 on 7 off also, but there's some variety.
3. QOL is great, IMO.
4. great also.
5. not great, but we're used to it. Our union has done a great job dealing with management over the years
6. ETC? estimated time to captain maybe? Looking backwards, an eternity. Looking forward, alot better, most likely.

now ask one of the ABX guys who have been on furlough for over 5 years??? Then ask the guy who has been the next on the fence to recall for over two years. Then ask the junior 9 f/os how secure they feel. If they hire tomorrow they would not be shy about letting you go in.....oh....lets say 3 months!!!! Ask the last new hire class. I wish my cup was half full. All that being said, you just never know what will happen.

Does anyone know anything about ABx and Astar Cargo? I'm looking for factual information and not BS from through the grape vine. Please, no opinions and no fights. All I want is information on:
1. Stability?
2. What a typical line is like?
3. QOL?
4. Pilot attitude?
5. Company Attitude?
6. ETC?
Once again NO BULL S@#T!!! NO OPINIONS! NO FIGHTS! If you wish to waist your time then waist your time on another tread, I’m only looking for facts.
Thank You

Don't care who is gettig what, or how the attitude is at either place, both are still an acmi carriers. Astar will most likely park at least the airbus (6 of them) and maybe the 8's in a few years and ABX will most likely park the DC-9 (60 of them or so, ouch!) in a few yrs. Nither place looks great. If you were able to get on at abx, at least you would be flying, astar, you will definitely be sitting side ways for a long long time. Both companies aren't to bad right now, but there are to many unknowns. Go somewhere else. If your bent on an acmi, I would say atlas, cargo360 or something like that would be a more viable option.
JMHO, good luck.
