Default UPS System Bid Results

The system bid results are out tonight. Here are the new dates-of-hire of the most junior captain in each aircraft/base. There is a MD11 SDF displacement yet to come (realignment of crews to ANC out of SDF), so these figures still could adjust some:

{more senior}
MD11 SDF: July 1995
747-100/-200: Feb 1996
757/767 domestic: Apr 1996
727-100: Dec 1996
757/767 MIA: Feb 1997
757/767 Int'l: Nov 1997
747-400 ANC: Jan 1998
A300: Mar 1998
DC8: Mar 1998
757/767 ONT: May 1998
MD11 ANC: Mar 2001
{more junior}

What's up with you leaving the Boeing and Mad Dog after all these years? I can't believe you're going to the A300. Explain please

Congrats on the upgrade!

Maybe all that house hunting didn't go so well?

SDF MD-11 CA goes from the most junior to the most senior seat in 6 months time. Amazing.

Does anyone know if newhires go to the Airbus? If not, is it something you are able to bid fairly quickly?

New-hires go wherever the company has a need for FE's and FO's.

Default Newhire F/Os

There will be new hire F/Os all over the place...quick math on how many F/Os short we are per fleet after this vacancy:

SDF 727 F/O: 0
SDF 747 F/O: 0
SDF 757 F/O: 20
SDF A300 F/O: 25
SDF DC-8 F/O: 22
SDF MD-11 F/O: 28
SDFZ 757 F/O: 29
ONT 757 F/O: 22
MIA 757 F/O: 7
ANC MD-11 F/O: 51
ANC 744 F/O: 18
222 F/Os*
Not many F/E vacancies comparing the pre and post-vacancy seniority lists, but who knows with retirements?

*These numbers will be affected slightly by captains subject to displacement bid which is still open.

Someone tonight said that the SDFZ 76 is down 40 FO's from where it was at it's peak. Captain numbers remain the same so it sounds like that represents a real shortage

As you are the sooth-sayer, any word on a call from 502 yet?
