Junior UPS capt. sits on MD-11 (2001 new hire)
#11
Why reach back nine years for stuff to complain about, there's a cornucopia today. After three massive high profile failures and ruining what UPS was known for over decades, Davis is still calling the shots, and with the blessing of a "labor friendly" administration dragging out negotiations indefinitely. The BOD is using the company as a short term ATM machine and will leave a carcas to be Gecko-ed out as they move onto their next victim via golden parachute.
While it will take years to bleed out completely, UNLESS there is a radical change at the top, this place's days are, IMO numbered. So if you can't beat 'em (and we can't, it's THEIR company) join 'em and lets get OURS while we can.
Max pay to the last day, FUPM.
And to those pondering coming here, a job is a job, and they don't grow on trees. I'm not one who says " avoid this place at all costs". It's better than all the non-scheds. It's better than some of the passenger gigs. But IF The Davis Doctrine remains in play, IMO the long term viability of the UPS air operation is tenuous at best. With a Gecko wanna-be in charge, anything is possible, other than a growing airline.
