I agree that wage works makes the system a lot harder than it needs to be. Still, I'll gladly sit at home with a cold beer and spend a few minutes emailing receipts to them to spend one less day on the road working (to make up for the lost income due to taxes.)

The tax savings are worth it and the iPhone app is easy to use for when a receipt is requested.

Never had a problem with glasses, just turned in the script.

To be clear, it's not "NO OTC drug" ... it's just that OTC drugs require a prescription.

So, it's a little hassle, but very manageable. If you visit a doc, he can write a prescription for the list of OTC meds ... aspirin, etc. If you don't have a doctor visit, most will write a presciption with a phone call. "Hey doc, I have sore muscle after lifting my wallet, can you wirte me a prescription for Tylenol?" "Sure, I'll leave it at the desk, pick it up on your way to Walgreens."

PRESCRIPTION: NSAID - Take as directed

A lot of offices even use non-MD health care professionals who can write prescriptions, such as Physician Assistants.

More of a hassle? Yepp.

Money savings? Yepp.

Don't we have that penny-pinching stereotype to uphold?
