And a strong union that would easily get these guys their jobs back. Perhaps the most important aspect of the 2% I pay in dues, and for that I am thankful. It staves off management oppression. If this was JetBlue those guys would be long gone.

Weiss (described as a 20 year veteran of commercial aviation earlier in the article) agreed that dumping fuel would be essential and said that a pilot would need significant physical strength help power the plane off the runway in ample time.
"You use every inch of that runway," Weiss said. "You must have very, very, very little fuel, just enough to get to Branson. It's not something that you have to be a bodybuilder to do, but it's challenging."

What?

He must think they are going to dump the hydraulic fluid to save weight too.

Seriously, where do they dredge these 'experts' up from? "Well, you don't have to be a bodybuilder to fly the heavies, my darling, but physical strength, stamina, libido, machismo, and narcissism are nearly essential!"

I saw that comment from Weiss and was wondering as well what he was talking about. Physical strength? Huh?
