Current form on the ONE SIBA trip starts in Asia but DHs back. If you manage your bank and are a bit flexible you could make that work. A pure DDH would be cake. In either case, it is better than what is available now.

You said this earlier in the thread..."Been here a dozen years. What I've learned is never get too addicted to a certain trip, as they change quite a bit."
Anyone who bids HK with the hope of flying HK SIBA and never stepping foot in HK better be ready to move to HK. One thing that is absolutely certain about our future bidpacks is that they are about as unpredictable as they ever have been. No one is really sure how 767's will be used, and what combination of 757/767 flying will take the place of current A300 MD10/11 flying. This is one time where I would bid the AIRPLANE I want to fly rather than the kind of flying I like. We may even see 777 pure domestic flying in the not too distant future. To include AM Memphis hubturns. And all that assumes there will be any type of bid allowing any movement other than down in the next year or so.
The good news is bidpack hours look stable in the near future. Other than that, I'd say we're just hanging on for the ride.

You don't have to move to HK if you don't take the Danegeld

As far as system form, I believe the writing is on the wall for an excess. The 767 assures that, it's just a matter of when
The change to ALL B Fund won't affect "current pilots"....only new hires after a new contract is signed

I believe what SS has said is that nothing in the company's retirement proposals affects the retirement of pilots currently on the property

This concession alone would be huge and may be what we settle upon after defeating/disabling all the other smoke screen bombs they're currently lobbing

Default Air Network Plans for the Rest of FY14

I've never met JB but ... i like his style. I'm usually one of the many complainers, complaining about why management keeps all of their plans a secret? Is it that Senior Management keeps them in the dark? Maybe "they" really have no idea what''s in the Corporations future. Is that possible?

I appreciate the latest Network planning update. It might suggest more questions than answers but at least I feel like I have some sort of picture of the future.

Anyone curious why management is now communicating after 20+ of shut up and fly? Have they been wrong for all those years and want to fix their ways?

It's that the walls are now broken down, right? We have a new and cozy relationship with management, and they are giving us full disclosure. They're not there to hang you any more, they're there to help!

+1.....I understand that the info is only as good as current trends and information but at least we get some sort of explanation to the changes that have already happened. Management doesn't have to tell us anything but it kind of helps keep the rumor mill in check.

I appreciate having some heads up on whats happening but I'm also just as interested in what was not said like what the company plans to do with CAN ops once the KIX hub opens up.

As previously mentioned, I also agree that an excess bid is coming to fill vacancies in new aircraft and fill retirements and NOT just a pure captain down bid excess.

Everything is taken with a grain of salt and subject to change, I know I know

No it would be a huge concession for current pilots as well, here is why. This was tried in the past at American I believe back in The Bob Crandall days. Caused a serious rift in the cockpit.

As soon as B scale pilots have a voting block & eventually a majority what's to prevent them from dismantling the A fund for all current recipients? I want no part in a haves/have nots environment in the cockpit
