Bonus, coupon for free beer in German Deli in the basement when you check inn. No extra charge for the stains on the carpet, furniture, and bedspread in your room. Extra mold in shower and leaking toilet also included in crew rate.

Perfect description !

Exactly like the PanoramaDump, but no beer coupon for UPS ! And the rooms are smaller at the Panorama, imagine that ! But free breakfast and wifi ...

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

By the way, it's been my experience that the FedEx pilot ops report system DOES work for bad hotel experiences--we stop staying there. Please take the time when you experience the stains, mold, etc and put in ops reports on the Holiday Inn Golden Mile and save your fellow crew members from staying there! Copy your input and send the ALPA sig folks it too. You can put in ops reports even after the fact, and the hotel ladies at FedEx do a GREAT job at following up concerns and complaints and getting back to you. Please take some time and do this if you have bad experiences or nothing will change.

I always thought it was the Dirty Dog guys that were obsessed with the Maridump?

We still stay at the Holiday Inn. The ANC crew that I RFO'ed with from SYD checked in there last night as I luckily went to the Sheraton.

That was my point...we currently stay at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile as one of our HKG hotels, and if we want to have change because there are problems associated with a hotel, we need to file pilot ops reports and copy the FedEx ALPA SIG on those reports.

Its good that they haven't scared your guys enough yet to say don't put in reports against $hitty hotel's cause they will move you closer to the airport!

True enough, 744.

It is certainly a nice property, and I'd wager a good proposition to offset the extortionately high prices for hotels on the island.

What kind of crew rates are we able to get there?

Hmmmmm.... I have to say. My experience at the Holiday Inn has been very different than some. I love it there...and unlike the Sheraton, they seem happy to see us! The rooms have been nice, clean and no issues at all. And Hari's is just a short stumble away.....

I also liked the Holiday Inn when we (UPS) stayed there, particularly compared to the Paranormal. I heard that some of our guys complained of "seeing laundry hanging out to dry" out their windows and "pimps and touts" hanging out at the front entrance on Nathan Road. Hard to believe - fake watch salesman and laundry hanging out to dry in HKG... and somebody gets upset about it. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.

The panorama is a complete suck A$$ dive. They love shoving you in the bottom floors with a twin bed. I can't believe we are still in that shat hole.
