Talking The 8 Ball says--"try again"

Merry Christmas to all!

My 8-ball tells me that UPS will NOT base the 747-400 in ANC as originally planned. The current ANC bid will be cancelled, and a new bid for the 747-400 based in SDF will be out ASAP.

I also see MANY 747-400/800s in our future since the A380 issue, and all of the lift it has promised, is somewhat up in the air (no pun intended).

I am willing to bet a steak dinner at Club Paris (ANC) on this if someone is game...

Payment will be made by May 1st, 2007 (I'll be ordering the special, medium rare WITH wine).

I'm in! Those are tasty steaks! I also heard that ANC is hinging on the A380. If what you say comes true... it will change everything!

No Dog in this race, although I do like steak and wine. I've never had dinner at Club Paris, although I do like Simon's. In your opinion is Club Paris a better meal?

No dogs in this hunt either but hows about dinner at The 515 Cocktail Club and dessert at the Bush Company?

Nah, how about dinner at Moose's Tooth and the rest of the evening at Chilkoot's?

HSHLD-

It is kinda apples and oranges. Club Paris is old school steak house--much different than Simon's. Both are good, but I would give the edge to Paris.

All of a sudden I am hungry !

Beertini

edit: Since you said you like steak and wine, you must make the trip to Club Paris!

I think we will see more 747s, and B767s, I also think we will not cancel the 380. This is from the pilot meeting in the sort a week ago. according to Lou our orders only got pushed back by 6-8 months, so it was not as big of a factor as it was for FedEx. If we in fact do not get the 380 it will be because Airbus delays the freighter build, but I would bet we would see more A300s in the mean time.

I've eaten in both places. Club Paris is one of the best steaks that I've ever eaten. Bar none. Order it rare or medium rare with the roquefort (sp) cheese injection. Simon's is good, too. But if you're buying I'd choose Club Paris.
