Working conditions with only 76s now any better?
I hope their pay scale changed.

They are on their second IBT contract. The hard pay is very competitive. New ownership group threw out almost all of the thieves and company sycophants. Professional group in management now. Management has been in a very good relationship with Bourne and the rest of the IBT. It is almost a completely different company, with the exception of some scabs and derelicts. The operation moved into the old Centurion facility on the northeast side of MIA. They instituted ETOPS, Class II/III. They have also cracked down on all the shenanigans in mx. The training department was purged of the scabs that were retaliating against the union. Lastly, their focus seems to be getting away from the Caribbean. I imagine that the company will do Amazon or DHL eventually.

Default An idea

Thanks Whitecap.
Can you give an idea on the schedules/Bidding?
Reserve time?
Upgrade time?
Bennies?
Is ground school paid with hotel?
Uniforms?
757 or 737 rumors?

You can pm if you’d like.

Glad to hear it’s better now but the market is competitive so will they be able to find enough people.

I honestly don't know the details of the contract, just an overview. I will ask someone over there if he has a .pdf version to share. They do have a provision to upgrade qualified captains out of seniority, if need be. I did a lot of work for the IBT Local 769 back in the day to secure the first contract. We almost lost a decertification vote (Why???) before the IBT negotiated a huge increase in pay and QOL on the second go around. They really need qualified people to hire, as they want to go ETOPS to Europe and other places. I will pm you if I can get a hold of the current CBA.

I'm trying to figure out whether you are 1) A pilot recruiter 2) Someone working on publishing "A Career Pilot's Guide To Bottom Feeding Airlines", or 3) APC's most frequent job hopper.

Default Why

Is it any of your business? Why don’t you just worry about yourself and not bother someone else with your silly rhetorical questions.

Cause APC community cares about you. We want you to succeed. Not end up job searching every year.
