Don't forget hammerin' on the paper towel dispensers in the bathrooms. People bang those levers down like they're punching a speed bag. That sound is "structure borne" by the walls directly into my skull....

Not bad at all if your on duty. Not allowed to use them unless you are on duty.
You'd be suprised how many guys would have microwaves and mini fridges in those rooms with in hours if they could use them anytime! Past.... Is there a type of reserve where the pilot gets put up in a hotel near the airport, so that in the event he is needed, he is close by? If one all ready lived in MEM or close by, like within 30 mins of the airport, why put him up in a hotel in a city in which he has a house to stay in? |

Homestead Studio Suites on Corporate Ave. (behind the HI Select on Democrat) has a FedEx rate of $39/night for a regular day or $50 for a 24 hr period. Decent place with a kitchenette and a short drive to the falcon and gucci buildings.

You only have a 5 hr sit on stby when you can get one of these rooms. Or your on a hub turn and that is usually less than 4 hours. The reason they are there is not to be used as a hotel but to be able to get a little better rest on the hub turn. as compared to a recliner...
