Military? Active duty, reserves, retired? Try the Navy Base in Millington ... kind of expensive by BOQ standards but still much cheaper than a hotel.

Call the Navy Inn (it's neither a Navy Lodge nor BOQ) at 877-NAVY-INN

Hope this helps ...

Darn, it's too bad that Platinum Plus has closed or you could have stayed there.

A piece of friendly advice ... I'd stay away from the airport hotels if you have a car. It's not a very safe neighborhood.

There are several hotels that give FedEx pilot 24 hour rates. The closest being the Holiday Inn Select, but as Mayday said, I'd stay away. Lousy service and noisy from jet traffic. I believe the Homewood Suites on Poplar gives a 24 rate and something behind the Holiday Inn Select does also. It might be a Courtyard. I stay at the Hampton Inn off of Perkins. I pay regular internet rates but I'm a HiltonHHonors member and get the points and miles for the stay. Free internet there.

By his post, I didn't get the idea that Mr. Rogue was a FedEx employee. But if he is, I'd also recommend the Homewood Suites on Poplar. They serve a very nice buffet at 5:30, Monday thru Thursday night, and it's free. However, they are not an inexpensive hotel.

If you are doing your sims out in the Pan Am facility at Hacks Cross, there is a nice hotel almost directly across the street. Unfortunately I've never stayed there and don't remember its name, but at this time of year, I'd imagine they would be happy with walk-in business.

There are a couple of hotels by the Pan Am facility. Unfortunately, that is also near the World HQ facilities. The prices are a little higher out there because of that.

For the Purple Planet I always use the Radisson at the airport - it's on the airport property, so if you get mugged at least it's a federal offense.

For Hack's Cross I'd just drive down south to Olive Branch - there's a Motel 6 on that road that I've used, but there are plenty of other low-cost places around there.

The Homestead Studio Suites on Corporate Ave is very close to the airport and can get you to the airport and back. They have a very attractive rate for FedEx folks and might give it to you. Very convenient for the interview process but not as much for the sim prep. Their number is 901-344-0010.

If you are only going to the PanAm sim building on Hacks Cross I would go for the Hampton Inn right across the street. 1-800-HAMPTON or 901-754-8454.

Good luck.
