Do not know the exact number, but there would be quite a few fe's that would go to fo slots if the 72 goes away. I did hear today though, that the 72 is going to keep flying until 2009. Take it for what it is worth.

So.........what came out of that 727 meeting today? The bean counters have been trying to kill the QF for years; were they finally successful?

Company confirmed cancelling some of the 727 flights. Wouldn't really confirm whether or not there would be any 727 flying after August 07. Have heard that any 727's that need a "C" check would be heading for the boneyard fairly soon.

Fifteen 727 Engineers were reassigned to other fleets today. 10 were from a summer 2006 new hire class. What does that tell you? Is it too few over 60 engineers retiring or too many 727s being retired?

How was someone hired 6 months ago reassigned without a bid? Can they do that?

I believe probabtionary crewmembers can be reassigned during their first year if the company so desires.

Where did you see this posted? Do you know to what fleets/seats they went?

That will truly suck if they have to do it on their own nickle this time around

I know of at least 1 FO who got reassigned today as well, and I'm sure there are more. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
