Default FDX vto with vacation question

Unfortunately I have a vto for July. I have 8 days of vacation for July during the beginning of the month. I only have 36 hrs of vacation left in my bank though. Does anyone know if my line will be awarded honoring all days off putting me into a negative balance for my vacation bank or will they give me credit for only the 36 hrs remaining and build me a line of nearly 50hrs. I am hoping I get credit for the entire footprint of 8 days and just have a 12 hr negative bank balance at the end. And yes I realize Vito's blow for vacation I couldn't do anything else. Thanks

The answer is the one you want. For VTO's, it is irrelevant what you have in your vacation bank. If you have 8 days of vacation in the July bid month, that will be 48 credit hours towards your VTO. However, if it is your last vacation of the year and your bank is negative, you can request that your vacation period be reduced. I think you can reduce it down to just one day, should you choose. Then again, it's the summer, so nobody wants to do that.

Thanks bud. I thought that was the case and I just looked at my bank balances for the yr and it already shows negative for the yr so they did subtract all 8 days. Wish I could've held a single dept line and knocked the whole month out. Guess I'll have to do some work this summer! Thanks again

I slid my vacation from the first week of August back into July 4 days then expanded. 4 days still remain in August. I used 40 of the 48 hours for the period. Any idea how much vacation time I will have deducted if I bid a VTO in August? I still have a block of vacation remaining in Nov and don't want to burn the hours now.

Should be 24 hours of Vacation Pay deducted from your bank in August. So, VTO probably built to around 50 hours depending on seat.

Thanks

Is there any way to bid a VTO and avoid using vacation with the 4 remaining days I have in Aug?

Like I said...want to hang on to it for Nov.

I don't think there is any possible way, now that you've slid it. I think (not certain), that come Aug bidding, you could have slid it back further into July, but once you've slid it, you can't slide it again. I don't see any way not to get charged those 24 hours into your vacation bank now, if you get a VTO.
