Default Time for a * NEW * Ask Tony C question.....

Pursuant to 25.F3b., if I drop a trip <72 TAFB to keep the new >120 TAFB trip, what will happen to the CH of the trip that is dropped? Will it be "lost" or will it go into the make-up bank?

I have not found any reference as to what happens to the "lost" CH.

i.e., have a weekend trip that ends on Monday nite in the hub and am awarded a week-long DDH that begins early Monday morning; wanting to keep the DDH and drop the weekend trip.

It goes into Makeup. It doesn't specifically say so in F3b, every other drop due to carry in conflict goes into makeup (Section F 5, 6, and 7) imho section 3b drops are treated the same way, and just presents an option to keep the longer trip.

It should go into make-up, but not every Carry-In-Conflict goes into make-up, i.e., protect minimum days off.

Just curious, because next month I could be looking at dropping the <72 TAFB if I am awarded a >120 TAFB.

I seem to remember my protect min days off going into makeup, is this something that has changed?
