Nope. Your vacation is the only hard days off you have. (Well, except when you call fatigued.) You are fair game beyond that.
However, after 6 junior man days, they have to give you a day back one for one that they take. (There is an exception here for reserve line holders. Reserves can be used into the first day of a block of time off once each month and that day doesn't count towards the 6.)

After 6 jr man days....it goes back to a zero sum game. Extend me one day this month....pull a day off next month. So you would average your 17 days over those two months. Or do they just jr man you again over your removed days and keep the ball rolling to the right?

Just to clear up that 6 day thing a bit: The 6 day "trigger limit" is on a per calendar year basis, applicable to lineholders. Starting from zero, one could get their first 6 junior man days in one bid period (full calendar month, except Jan. and March, plus Feb(Feb bid considered to run 31 Jan.- 1 March), and not be owed any days off. Once one exceeds the 6 day annual limit, it is crewmembers choice as to which day(s) they drop.
As for reserve, one could be extended one day each month (total of 12 per year), plus up to 6 additional days throughout the year (overall total 18), and not be owed any days off. They would be paid junior man pay for all days.

Not really. Everyone gets plenty of flying during those hours. (Of course that's after you've been up all night through a hub turn where you left the outstation at 2200.)
For example here is a lovely pairing: (all times Eastern)
Report in MIA at 2145 (2115 Van)
Depart MIA-2245 Arrive CVG-0116 (Deadhead leg)
Hub layover of 3:17
Report at 0433
Depart CVG-0533 Arrive GDL-0940
Turn 1:00
Depart GDL-1040 Arrive QRO-1135
Arrive at hotel at 1205
So unless you've managed to catch a little sleep sitting straight up on the deadhead from MIA or maybe a little in the chair room with 100+ other snoring people, you've probably been awake around 18+ hours factoring in time for some dinner and a shower before leaving MIA.
But there was some daytime flying in there!
(To be fair, there are a LOT better trips and not too many worse. Reserves do the above trip quite frequently as you might imagine. Line holders have the ability to trade trips with open time. I rarely see a line holder going to QRO....or MEX or MTY for that matter.)
To clear up some definitions, a duty day here runs 0301-0300.
To muddy that up some, vacation days begin and end at midnight. (And a week of vacation starts on a Thursday.)
Daytime is defined as 0801-2000. Nighttime is 2001-0800.

If I recall correctly
"Newguy" said he only got 4 days at home, nothing about days off. It is possible that some of his "days off" were un-commutable days spent in CVG.
