Let's bid a trip together. I'd be happy to explain over dinner.

They say it was a triple bypass; I think it was the installation of the animatronics. It's amazing what they can do with machines these days -- almost lifelike.

What is the significance of the "red letters?" Did the company send a "not so kind" letter out to the pilots or something like that? I am just curious. I have only been with the company a couple years.

I'd show you mine, but then I'd have to open it! Mine is still sealed in its FedEx envelope, I assume there is a red letter in it still! I might sell mine on eBay along with a full collection of FedEx mini snacks - Red, Blue, Orange, Purple and Green!

Yea, I thought the triple bypass story was a ruse, we all know they couldn't find a heart in there! ;)

Rocky Top, I am ashamed of your screen name since I am a VOLS fan. Are you kidding me. You give southerners a bad name. Go get your flex job and go away.

Go to the alpa.org website and log on.

Go to my MEC.
Click on MEC. on the left side there are several links.
Click on Pilot History and read. It is worthwhile and educating.

Actually, I think it used to be under Pilot History, but it's not now.

What you need to do is go to the ALPA Fedex Master Executive Council Homepage, and look on the dropdown menus on the top of the page. Unnder the word ALPA, you'll see the word "Home". If you hover your mouse pointer over that, a menu will drop down, and the last selection is "Fedex MEC Info Center". Click on that, and you'll be whisked to a page with lots and lots of good stuff. The first item on the list is the 1995 Red Letter. The second item is the 1998 Red Letter.

I'll try a few links -- you'll have to enter your ID and password to get through, but these might work.

ALPA Fedex MEC Info Center

You should take the time to familiarize yourself with the material on this page. It's important stuff.
