Well I saw in Paris on the TV.

Well, IMHO, Mr. Smith is showing his age. Certainly on top of the topic of the day, but seems, .....tired. I've seem him look better. We're all getting older, and FS is no exception, but this was the first time it was as obvious to me.

With Fred getting old will someone buy FedEx? Private equity has been rumored to be interested, and possibly even Deutsche Post (DHL). It would be a great way for DHL to get a credible foothold in the US. We better hope that the union is keeping an open mind and considering ALL future options an associated implications.

Smith owns less than 5% of FDX.

He is the Chairman, President and CEO. Not, the owner. As many, still seem to believe. However, we still are required to speak of him as "Master Fred". Yassum, Sir.

If one compares the employees of Fedex to the movie ROOTS then yes Fred is still the master. Ramp employees are the Kunta Kincad of the day. As for pilots........Well remember those two guys who went chasing after Kunta when he went running off and then gave him a choice between cutting of his foot or his n*ts. Well that us as pilots...........:o

The triple bypass a few years ago made it obvious to me.
