Just leave it alone? Please be advised it might be in your self interest to attend or have a representative attend the national jumpseat forum on July 22, 2016. Certain matters concerning proper jumpseating protocol are going to be discussed. The can is open.

Ok Bubba, I'll spell it out for you since you're kinda slow. We do get tickets to and from home, but on occasion jumpseating is more expedient and there are times when we can jumpseat home from and back from a layover. Some use it to get more time home- I'm sure you'd rather have extra $$ than time home. I'm guessing your family (if you have any) would prefer you go for the money as well.

I'm not that slow to realize your check airman lied to one of our captains about his jumpseat status....how much extra time did he get at home by concealing his true intent? I know things are a little lax at ATI but do you really have to mirror certain mgt style?

From the ABX Air hiring thread:
Now, how's that play here? From the very title of this thread?
So IF things happened as you stated (and I have no reason to believe either way other than to take your word for it), then we have an internal issue to resolve. Lying about your jumpseat intentions is not acceptable. But which did you do first: Did you approach anyone at all in an official capacity to start an administrative process to fix this issue? Or did you jump on this forum to get all of the hens clucking on this "non" rumor mill?
You are so obsessed with ATI that all I can conclude is that you're scared of something. Get over yourself. Please. We've all got a lot ahead of us.
I will add that ATI's CBA states "Crewmembers may not use jumpseats outside of Company customer system for Company directed travel". This is IBT language, boilerplated years ago from ATI's first CBA under 747. As with anything written, without access to all of the subscript, it's open to some interpretation. But it seems to me that Amazon and DHL are "Company customer system"s. Delta, UPS, etc, are not "Company customer system" operators. We may not use them except for personal or union business, including getting to or from home, let alone repositioning. Doing so is asking for trouble. Last time we caught one of "ours" doing that (as I'm aware), we read him the riot act, as our pre-CASS reciprocal agreements were very limited and we didn't want to put what little we had in jeopardy. That was over 10 years ago. ABX, Atlas, Kalitta, and Southern are all "Company customer system" airlines. So by our IBT-originated CBA language, it doesn't seem "out of bounds" to repo within "our" system on system aircraft, agreements permitting and upon Captain's authority, of course.
I'll say it again: Lying about your intentions is unacceptable. Thank you for the notification. It would have been nice to have been informed in a more professional and discreet manner before flinging it out there like monkeys at the zoo.

Well now that it's out there it's pretty hard to spin it or deny the event. I'm sure the offender would be more "comfortable" if he were read the "riot act" in private. Once again, you guys might want to send a representative to the national jumpseat forum on July 22, 2016.

And the offender's "comfort" would be the last thing on my mind if I were involved in the process of jumpseat protocol re-indoctrination. Yeah, draw me a picture of why you're employed with ATI, then. Motormouth has nothing to be afraid of. If anything, you do.

JUMP SEAT
MC, I promise it will be looked into.
As for the J/S, I use the ABX seat quite a bit. Exactly as L8frt claimed its much faster in most cases and more convenient. There are some guys that will p###and whine and must have a ticket (they are getting miles or something).
Anyway, back to my point, we arent exactly making bank over here at ATI. Some of us J/S back home to work jobs etc and HAVE to be there. I use it because I found myself in a family matter that needed max time at home. Moving around the system on your (ABX) JS is a total life saver. Not to mention Im treated with the highest regard and respect by your crews. You can also be assured anyone riding on our seats will have equal treatment. crews reading this have my deepest apology if it was abused. I would just highly suggest the individual should be held responsible and not the lot of us.
As for handling it, Im aware our unions aren't all buddy buddy & having sleep overs as OGM apparently likes to do.
(we just had training on that behavior and were told that its acceptable and must welcome diversity)
