TONY...you must be getting old or those hub turns are taking a toll... I still laugh when I hear guys ask...did you see the new hot chick??? She doesn't get to be the hot chick by default because she is the last girl in the bar (or AOC). . |

I didn't say they were hot, just that they don't have 58 inch hips. I think there are some attractive ones, too. Well, at least one or two. Ask Pablo. ;)
. Good for him though, his "boss" is a sweetheart. |

I've been told that ALL female pilots at FDX have been and will be getting 'NO notice line checks' due to the bean counters looking at the stats.

Now, now. To be fair, there are a few notable exceptions. :)
. If they were going to no-notice line check anybody, it would be the Tigers guys. They have, without question, the worst stats. However, that said, they also are the most likely to actually say "Thanks for your help this week (to the rest of their crew)", and also they are the first to buy a round at the bar. With the notable exception of the Tiger guy I was flying with this past week, who, although very young, must have been one of those guys who created copper wire from a penny. Hopefully this new rumor is just that, a rumor. Although in fairness, I wouldn't put it past them. I had my first back seat line check a few months ago, and it was preceded by a letter from someone in the training department, telling me all the things that the line check airman could/would look for and at. It was a very long and involved letter, which I took immediate offense to. I called the author and asked him about it. He said "Yes" the LCA would be checking all that stuff. I told him I had been at the company for a fairly long time and that I'd never experienced any of that stuff on a line check, either in the back seat in the early 90's or in any other seat along the way. He then said that the letter, which was a form letter, was actually meant for the new guys to "keep them on their toes." Very typical of the Boeing flight training department, if you ask me. |

That is why it is called "Boeing Boot Camp". :D |
