You could not pick a better time to buy a used 767.

I think they'll probably repair it. It's young for a 763, and I'm told that this repair, while time-consuming and expensive, is a known quantity. But yes, I would be delighted if we wound up picking some others up. Guessing that's not what Tulsa is worrying about at the moment, though.

That's something you can fix yes, the same thing happened here In japan with one of our 76's and I have flown it many times since.

I know one thing, at 80kts. the nose is coming down on a 300.

Yes, you are correct but that damage wasn’t because they held the nose too long after landing, that aircraft was bounced nose first, hard...

ATSG buys the airplanes and own a 3rd of all converted 767s in the world 117ish. Tulsa will have nothing to do with it....just like the last one Omni added for pax ops.

A friend of mine interviewed there last year for DEC. He has 20 years on the B767. Probably 10-12 years flying DOD flights as a captain.

They did not hire him. He was told that they had decided to go with someone more suitable.

IDK who’s in charge of hiring there, but maybe they should be replaced with someone more suitable?

Well, it's certainly true that ATSG holds the purse strings, but I think maybe Tulsa still has some say in whether they actually *need* any more airplanes. Who knows.
