Default A Christmas Present from SkyKing

Word on the steet is they furloughed 8 on Christmas Eve and had two planes repoed, leaving them with only one plane. That contract is up on Jan 15 & the doors might close up(finally)

Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know why that is listed on that website. But here's what I do know, they did lay off six to eight people before Christmas. then, management change to working 20 days from originally 18 and only getting paid for 18 days. In addition, they went to a schedule of 5 on two off. This made it virtually impossible for some commuters and some commuters resigned. Then they hired back a few pilots to fill the void left by the ones that resigned. right now they only have one airplane in operation. Its a contract with ice. this contract ends on the 15th. Don't be surprised to see them shut their doors on the 15th to avoid paying people for that month. but who knows? I've now to change to there's three things that will survive a nuclear explosion. Twinkies, cockroaches, and Sky King.

If the ones who are left are SMART, they'll leave once this CURRENT pay period check clears...
DO NOT SHOW UP and fly ONE MORE LEG.

They will NOT pay that last paycheck. GUARANTEED.

It's too bad... I used to really enjoy working there. The operation they had in Atlantic City was one of the most unique jobs I've ever had.

Is that the remaining SkyKing 'Casper the Ghost' 737 parked on the north ramp @ MIA, between UPS & FedEx? Saw them towing it there the other day and it's still there as of 1600 today.

This little airline had so much potential.
I am optimistic they will make it.
Many good people there.

Heard Sky King shut their doors over the weekend. Hope whoever was left there lands on their feet quick.
