Until when, with how many planes? Heard that furloughs went out to NAA JFK pilots and F/A's?

That tells me nothing. This NAA rumor came out yesterday (3/28) and that article was written (3/27).

Written about North American on another forum:

-AMC and charter ops done.
-IAD OPS to survive for now.
-JFK pilots and FAs furloughed.
-Last minute deal to be purchased by ATI dead.

NAA has 2 767s in IAD and 2 in JFK. TRIPS have been removed from JFK schaedules but haven't heard of furloughs. IAD operating normally.

Also posted on another forum regarding North American:

Just heard from a source in the know that North American is pulling nearly all crews back to the US and will more than likely be going down to a one-aircraft operation with a second aircraft as a spare to a high-priority contract.

This is a new one. There hasn't been a single rumor about this on our end.

Outta left field for sure..... especially when ATI will probably be "TU" by summer. Maybe it was ATSG and not ATI specifically? NAA does use AMES for maintenance.

Thanks for the other replies guys and good luck. Does it sound like they will keep it on life support for the CIA stuff or are they looking to offload it as quick as possible?
