Republic Airlines History
#1

Just wondering if someone can point me in the direction for some good websites on Republic Airlines (current regional) history. I am working on a summary page of them. It is surprisingly difficult finding history on Republic, most of the main sources are vague and only start when US Airways was in post 9-11 bankruptcy and working out a deal with the E-Jets. That or they just mention the history of Republic Airways Holdings.
Thank you for your help, I appreciate it a great deal.

No one feels sorry for you because we have all been in your shoes.
Quit the doom and gloom posts on other's threads. Keep that to your "Comair updates" thread where you can complain to each other until you're blue in the face.

Here is a little. Doesn't go into the actual Past too much. If I run across anything else I'll let you know.

You Comair guys act like you're the only pilot group to go through tough times and/or get screwed by management/ALPA.

I was mostly commenting on your general attitude towards other regionals and the raging disposition you all seem to posess.
I'm not happy about the midwest deal, but since it doesn't involve me I'll stay out of it.

You hinted at your distaste via the comments about how RAH has enjoyed success through many different mainline partners.

It directly involves you and your career. We need to remember that the decisions of a few affect the group as a whole.

Thank you for your spirited debates. Maybe it would be good to steer back to the original post. Does anyone know of any good sites that have Republic history.
Thank you very much for the submitted sites; I appreciate your help a great deal. Oddly enough, neither wikipedia nor the company website have information beyond Chataqua history and the US Airways E-Jet deal.

I would call or write the company if you're serious about getting good information...or head to your local library. Don't rely solely on the wonders of the internet - because most of it is not from the greatest source, etc. The internet, while awesome, is a little bit lacking in many areas - especially good research.
