Omni Air Pilot Negotiations update

I did bother to look up all my 1224 emails just now and did not receive a single notice of upcoming elections (I recall talking to a few guys who were planning on making opposing votes when an election did come about). I can't be the only one since no other airline seems to have nominated anyone. We should all pay more attention to that site... unfortunately this doesn't help us for two years.
In that same timeframe I've gotten a pile of updates from 1224 telling me to find another job instead of asking for input on the negotiation or providing concrete updates.

Nobody that I know of received either email or physical ballots. Please take your misinformation back to your own airline’s forum. Thank you kindly.
Looks like the e-mail was sent out with info about the election on 08/24. You should have received paper ballots in the mail somewhere around 10/16. If you never received the paper ballots, you should check with the Local and make sure that they have all of your correct contact information.

Oh wait, this is a public forum.
The negotiations at Omni do affect all carriers. It is called pattern bargaining. I suggest you Google the term and learn what it means.

Yeah. Isn't that the one where the unionized side presents take it or leave it offers but pretends they're not take it or leave it offers. Love having extremists on both sides. Does great for my bottom line.

Stick did you just contradict yourself in your statement. there is nothing to vote on which was the point intended. Succumbing to a Boulerism style of negotiation is not what we elected our negotiators to do. The devil is in the details and the things they are fighting for directly affect your monthly expenses.
Putting in writing (contract language) wording that secures our healthcare policies and not just the companies empty promises is important. I'm not going to reiterate what an "Agreement" is but accepting just anything offered by the opposing bargaining party is a failed representation on the negotiators part. Let them continue doing their jobs.

Now that's an argument!
I totally realize the devil is in the details. I agree with you.
But, the first step is agreeing in concept, then language gets written.
It doesn't seem that we can even get to that point. This Mexican standoff is just costing us more money than those things we are fighting for are worth... to me.
When people are "calling for a vote" It is my belief that what they are saying is that we've bled this turnip for all she's worth and to continue to hold out is... well.... the nut ain't worth the rub.
But that's just my opinion (and most squirrel) but maybe your experience out on the line is different.
Either way, I respect your opinion and your right to voice it.
I guess I'm just like so many others who are frustrated with this process.
The lack of communication (wrote 4 letters, only one who responded was Crippen- nothing from anyone in the union) the stalemate, the loss revenue is just not worth it.

I got both, and I’m just some dues paying Omni pilot that you know. Sounds like you’ve got some misinformation of your own.

They sent them out... I got the email and ballot just like all the Teamsters info that is mailed and emailed. If you receive the magazine monthly then you should have recieved the ballots h less you're not in good standing like a few of our pilots. If your address on file is wrong that's just negligence on your part, again... Don't blame others.
