Now a guy on upgrade this year had been on property 18 months and accumulated 1000 hours 121. I know because I spoke to him.
The recruitment dept isnt going to tell you about future contract changes because they cant see into the future. They can only say what it is now. How is that lying?
If you dont like it go to your WO. Wait 6 months for ground school, spend another 6 months training and hang around on reserve for 9 months.

If you think you are going to have 1000hrs at 18 months you are delusional. Even if you did, that leaves you three months worth of pay that will NOT be at $55/hr; IF there is no new contract. That’s about $4,000 difference. I guess if you don’t like money it’s a non issue. Besides that the point of the post was simply so people thinking about getting on with C5 know what’s the truth vs what is being advertised.

C5 just had someone go from zero 121 time to United in 3 years. If you are not picking up time and you have zero family commitments, you are throwing your seniority down the drain. C5 is the fastest path to United, period. I realize everyone cannot do this and it is a large mental commitment but too many people have excuses. Get your time and get out! It is much better on the other side of the fence.

You mean open time? Most hours picked up are from senior FO's. They don't want to fly once they hit 1000 121. Otherwise, you can pick up a reserve day and will likely get called if they are low on reserves. A turn here and there could mean a month of seniority. You have to be creative to get that time fast.
