Quote: Jac probably knows for sure; but I would suspect that class will be comprised entirely of rehires and people who were sent home. It seems like with the limited class sizes it will take at least two to clear that backlog before any true 'new hire' can start.
actually im in that 10/5 class now, I was only asking to see if anyone in here was in that class as well. I was wondering if they had anymore info on our schedule.

Schedules for Oct will be published for us in about a week and will be able to see more at that time. Plan on the same foot print as the original new hire class. The rehires will see a short refresher class if everything goes as planned.

Anyone know how senior IAH went in the bid the other day on the FO side?

Other than IAH is CommutAir getting any additional bases with the XJT flying?

I don't understand what the holdup is on the IAH awards.

I don’t know the company awarded captain to us in training, now they don’t want to honor it and go up the list because FO’s lost dash pay at the end of August and they all bid for captain. To me that’s messed up on the companies part not honoring the Vacancy they awarded

Yeah. That really stinks. It is better than getting furloughed but it is hard to be happy about it.

The company was rightfully cautious to stop training then slow roll it to save money during uncertain times but now it is going to hurt them because the pipeline is just as clogged as it was in February.

The last official upgrades that were new hires were in the 2/3/20 class. All the awards for upgrade are still published on the .com website. If you were "awarded" CA in training, then you would be on one of the lists and I believe they are still proceeding with those individuals. If you had bid for upgrade and the awards never came out with your seniority number, then they did not pull anything from you.

2272 was the last "awarded" upgrade new hire. If it were something like 2285, then that was still a ways down the list.

The logjam was with the LCP's. The LCP's have not slowed down on moving people through IOE since before the flights all cancelled. The only training that stopped was ground school and sims depending on where everyone was in the footprint. The LCP / IOE clog is getting cleared out. It has been hard with the reduced hours though and no way to sign off more LCP's since the Feds will not get on the planes.

As soon as the Fed's either sign off new LCP's or allows us to sign off LCP's, that problem will get taken care of for the future. The company saw no reason to push people through the system just to wait on IOE and that is where the perception of the company stopping training came from.
