Agreed.. In the lastest CP newsletter, it says they will try to accommodate any schedule requests for interviews. I suppose it's in their interest to help people get out to avoid having to furlough. Happens to be in our interest too. I hope the union's efforts with securing preferential interviews with the top tier places works out for us and we can get some needed attention

Yeah that would be nice. The comment from the phone call really got me though. Someone asked about the announcement being made this year and the response was something to the extent of "well that's a loaded question". Makes me think we are actually quite a ways away from hearing anything. And the comment saying "we could afford to lose some pilots". Just doesn't have me as optimistic as I used to be.

I DO believe that we could be getting Mana Air flying as UAX
I DO believe HOW MUCH UAX flying we may be getting is dependent onUA management’s negotiations with ALPA on scope. I also think those negotiations may take months, years, or eventually go to arbitration which certainly isn’t under the control of anybody at Compass. That being said, if Moxy starts advertising for Emb 170/190 pilots as a lead-in to flying their A220s, I’m putting in an app. There certainly isn’t any scarcity of opportunities out there if this goes on too long... |
