Do we have anything positive going on here? My last trip the snack basket just had a buncha delta IOU’s and an empty Oreo wrapper. Times are getting rough here...

LAX FO November Movement

Bid package out.
- Lines fell from 138 to 123
- Senority List size: not much / if any change.
- Senority gain ~3% for middle of the pack guy. (4 people closer to the top)
- Between 35 - 40 on reserve

Pretty large disappointment after October’s lack of line loss.

Rumor that 5 planes left this month...ouch

Much less attrition than I expected

Meh on attrition, I think. There are lots of people with CJOs, but places like Alaska have class dates months out. Attrition looms.

I guess 5 if you count 602. That bird is on life support.

Also there are probably about 30 leaving for Yellow in the next 1-2 months. I imagine similar numbers to Allegiant, JetBlue, Alaska. Compass is going to take a heavy hit for the holidays. I mean let’s be honest, right now we are probably only upgrading for the loss of CAs. Everyone I know either has a CJO or an interview. Unless they announce something soon, Compass is going to be in a very uncomfortable shortage of pilots if they really do have something on the horizon. Just my thoughts.

Exactly right.. But hey they can't say anything specific about the future of people's livelihoods so not sure what they expected

Yep. I mean they don’t even have to say who. Just tell us “yes we are getting 20+ airplanes”. That will be enough for most people. I mean if Compass really does get 40-60 planes, I don’t think we will be able to staff them in the next 3-6 months. It won’t be a good look for a new codeshare partner when flights are delayed or cancelled for lack of crew. They need to give us something. This “we are working on it” nonsense after the first memo really is frustrating.

What’s frustrating is the whole initial announcement where they said “the other party was totally ok with us going public” followed by the memo a few weeks after saying things aren’t progressing as fast as they would like and that they just entered a MOU to negotiate.

Are there any numbers showing attrition since the announcement? And how many are in the pipeline? I’ve heard rumors as to high amounts of no shows but no clue on how many new hires are going through training.
