Default Training timeline after interview?

Does anyone have recent information about training timeline after interview? Thinking about dropping my app with Compass, but just curious if the training pipeline is backed up, or if folks are classing up immediately. I'm a little hesitant because of the Delta contract ending, so any insight there is also much appreciated. Thanks!

Compass pilots: we're all a bunch of dice rollers.. Step on up homie- It's the compass way. If we get it renewed.. everyone will want to come here and you'll be in the front of the pack.

The most recent ref I have interviewed in late March and had an end of May class date. No real training delays once you’re in- just a few days off here and there.

I’m going out on a limb here...
I’m predicting the Delta flying IS renewed AND we get the new United flying.

Of course if that prognostication comes through it will mean that our upcoming captain shortage will become even worse, and they’ll have to push up the ALV for captains to about 99.9 until they either time out for the year or we can upgrade enough senior FOs (which because of the hiring freeze are currently in damn short supply) to start to give them some relief.

But that’s Compass. You place your bet and you take your chances.

Wait.... Did I read that correctly? Compass currently is under a hiring freeze?

No you did not. The 6 month hiring freeze was about two years ago which is why we have a dearth of captain eligible FOs right now that will make for an interesting Fall.

There are at least a few (5-10) FOs at least in LAX who can upgrade....and choose not to for QOL reasons. Next time you're on a SAN overnight you'll probably run into a few of them. I know that isn't a ton, but it would make a dent if they upgraded. Some are RATP some are not, some have been here 2+ years. Pilots are a special breed with each one wanting something different out of the job. Cant hold it against them at all, hell their hand picked schedules are no doubt amazing. But it would help the bottom of the FO list move (**cough cough**) as well as help save the other current captains QOL.

Put in an app - it took awhile to get a call - Compass does not seem to be like others where you put in an app and get a call the next day. I interview in July and got called end of May. Top of my list and I am a dice roller since small footprint and fast upgrades.
