Horrible news, you guys deserved so much better. I have always been impressed, and enjoyed the friendliness of your pilot group in the halls of the MSP training center. I do hope by some miracle, this government bailout saves you guys at the last second, with a no furlough requirement.

Some of my favorite memories:
- hearing a certain pilot do a perfect Matthew McConaughey on the radio during an arrival into LAX while I teared up laughing.
- me and VIROTATE flying together out of SJC and not being able to control our laughter when we heard what sounded like someone transmitting from a bathroom.. Atc was not impressed when I responded after three calls still laughing as I read back the hand off
- seeing Poser765 walk out of a planet fitness south of the airport in a crisp airline uniform and explaining to me that he lived in a van
- forgetting to hand the release out at the gate.. So I opened the window and papercliped an EmergenC pack to it and tossed it out the window to the gate agent laughing on the ramp. She then tried to toss the EmergnenC pack back and after a couple of tries I caught it
Too many memories to list.. So many good times flying with so many people

still miss that van...
the good memories started in training. There was the classmate kicked out the hotel for stealing nuts from the lobby, and the guy who ran a restaurant back home who cooked for us most nights.
how about all the flight crew reunions in the box?
crew trip to a driving range in SMH. The flight attendant loved it and naught a club. One club then carried it with her rest of the trip.
I remember the room parties and the crew dinners at the Applebee’s next to the hotel.
I remember how genuinely excited everyone was doing what they were doing. We’d be ****ed at the company for some crap, but I’ll be damned if people still didn’t work with a smile.
im sorry to hear this, guys. I hope you all land on your feet soon

Loved when we would get to our destination and the FAs would come up all serious and say something like “the first class passengers heard you laughing and kept giving me weird looks”. Yep we are enjoying our jobs and nothing is going to change that.
Good luck my fellow Compass pilots. If there is anything else I can do, let me know.

Terrible news.
Compass will always be a "best of times, worst of times" chapter in my biography. Miss that sweet, sweet "crib" pay, and the yoke clip messages. My favorite one: "MW burns styrofoam in his back yard."
Alex, if you're reading these boards, when are you going to publish that coffee table book of yoke clip messages!
