Yeah man. Gotta rewrite the PWA so they can flow down. [emoji849]

I thought I might find you over here. Here's the post he's referring to.

With the shut down of Compass, our PWA requires either a replacement flow-down carrier or a cap reduction of 35 76-seaters.

The company was supposed to have the new flow-down in place before Compass shut down, so I guess we just clawed back a bit of scope.

Aside from Compass employees losing their jobs, this is great news for the pilot group and the industry as a whole.

Flow-down is only useful for a short period and only mitigates the pain of furloughs, but Scope PREVENTS furloughs in addition to it's daily benefits (QOL, schedule flexibility, etc).

Well done sir, very classy statement. I'm delighted to see how gleeful you are at the news that many pilots, FAs, dispatchers, and other fellow Americans have lost their jobs. Hopefully karma will come and bite you in the $$$ when your airline furloughs.

As a former regional guy, I totally understand the pain of working under incompetent ownership. Some guys on here complain about EB, but he's a saint compared to the revolving door of CEOs I experienced. I absolutely feel for the employees. When I was a commuter, the Compass crews were the funniest and most easy going crews I ever met. You could tell they really enjoyed their jobs and took pride in it. It's a shame that they were sold to TSH and then ran into the ground.

Either way you try and spin it you’re tone deaf to the situation. As others have said, there’s enough 900’s park to comply with your scope clause.

It's not about today or this year even. I know it feels worthless and hollow right now, but it's a benefit to the profession in the long term.

If you want to discuss it, here's the thread:

*single wave* from a former COEX-XJT guy. Take care and see you around when this pandemic ends.

It's like you're from the Westboro Baptist Church celebrating at a funeral.

what a ridiculous analogy. His comments are insensitive, at WORST. I happen to agree with the sentiment of his post, he just probably shouldn’t have said it. I was stuck at XJT for almost 13 years. I’m most likely going to be furloughed in October. If XJT were to be shut down, I’d have friends on the street and I’d feel bad for them, as INDIVIDUALS. I would still view it as an overall positive for the PROFESSION. That’s all this guy is saying. Better left unsaid, but he said it. He’s not dancing on your graves.

I wasn't offended by lumberjack. It sucks being on the street, but I agree with the point he was making.. I hope in the long run the majors can take back scope.. But that being said, lumberjack- you owe me a delta rec for your rude comment! :D

As much as it sucks to be unemployed, I'm happy it means one less regional owned by HK. Wasn't offended by Lumber Jacks comments either. Was it the wrong time? Idk, I just make memes.

And really funny ones, I must say.

Can we all at least agree that the Meme thread on the MQ forum has nothing on the CP memes?
